Jun looked at his script and frowned; he leaned back to his seat before he picked up his pencil and made some marks at the paper.

“How the hell am I supposed to laugh while getting kicked? This doesn’t make sense at all”

“Well… have you ever been kicked?”

Jun almost glared at the guy. He despised the fact that at every mention of it he would suddenly make him remember vividly the images of shoes flying towards his direction. The hard kick that made him feel so vulnerable; yet the most traumatizing image of all was the face of a person lying next to him silenced with agony.

“No” he answered shortly, when the other guy refused to meet his eyes.

“Who…who… knows, maybe your laughing senses are turned on when you’re kick…” he said quietly afterwards.

Idiots…

“Whatever you say, I don’t care. I don’t like this part. Just skip it, it doesn’t even add up to the plot” he said as a final decision and ripped the whole page, which made the whole room fell silent. He then stood up and made his way out of the room. As soon as the door was closed, the room was filled with buzzing noises of opinions.

“Was he that scary before?”

“No… he was quite… well I won’t say easy going… but he wasn’t this harsh…”

“And why do we need his opinion on the storyline in the first place?!”

“Because, unfortunately… he’s full with great ideas when it come to things like this…”

“Argh! That guy is-!”

The door slipped open.

“Who is?”

Every person in that room felt the sudden chill and the sudden alarm that almost made their hearts stopped. Fortunately, the person who was at the door wasn’t the person who they thought it was.

“Ah, Ai-Aiba-san. Are- are you looking for Matsumoto-san?”

“Was he here?”

“Yo-you just missed him”

Aiba smiled at them and closed the door behind him.

“……”

“With Matsumoto’s current mood, I bet thousand yen, that Matsumoto is going to scream at his face…”

“Two thousand!”

They all gave each other eager looks at the impulsive amusing thoughts that just occurred to them, the five men stood up and immediately went out the door and followed Aiba’s trail. They walked in complete slow motion, as Aiba kept asking people around him while he walked.

“Ohh~!! Matsujun!” Aiba said smiling when he finally found Jun at the cafeteria. Jun looked at  Aiba indifferently before he made a frowned. “Are you lost?” he asked Aiba as though he was a lost puppy, before he opened a bottle in his hand and started to drink.

“I lost Sho-chan”

“Oh~ at the mention of Sakurai-san…I bet five thousands~”

Jun stopped drinking, swallowed, paused for awhile as though thinking and raised his left eyebrow at Aiba. “Aren’t you guys always together during lunch? It’s very unusual for you to go around and search for me during lunch break…” he said, sounding a little sulky, before he handed the bottle to Aiba. Aiba took the bottle from him happily.

”No, it’s unusual for you to search for me during lunch breaks too” and he drank massively.

“Maybe he ran off to marry Rina-sensei”

Suddenly Aiba choked and sprayed all his mouth’s contents straight at Jun’s face.

“Ten thousand~!!! I swear~!!!!”

There was absolute shock lingering between Jun and Aiba for almost half a minute. Jun had his eyes closed and his mouth opened, water dripping from his mouth and the tip of his nose. He might have accidentally drunk the water from Aiba’s mouth for all he knew. Jun’s wet hair was partially covering his face, also dripping with Juice. Aiba was staring at Jun wide eyed and waters dripping from his mouth. Aiba raised his hand slowly to push back Jun’s hair from his face.

“So-sorry” Aiba muttered.

Jun swiftly raised his hand and gave a slap at the top of Aiba’s head, not hard, but enough to make him frown and pout. “But you’re the one who gave such disturbing suggestion and I thought you were saying it seriously~!!” Aiba said as he rubbed his head.

“Ah, Sorry…my bad”

Jun said grinning.

“W-wow…talk about soft spots…”

“I lost Shooo”

“And you can find him in my nostrils”

Aiba messed up his hair and took a seat at Sho’s desk which was exactly beside Nino’s. Nino, who was busy concentrating on his DS, didn’t even look up at him. Aiba made a sigh and put his head to the desk.

“Don’t tell me you’ve give up the search of the precious pearl, the world might end any minute, you know… ” Nino said, almost mumbling this time.

“He didn’t even say where he wanted to go” Aiba said under his breath.

“I can go find him with you…” Ohno, who came out of nowhere, suddenly spoke. Aiba suddenly smiled brightly while he looked up at Ohno, before he frowned at Ohno’s face and made a gesture for him to wipe his mouth. Ohno looked at Aiba in bewilderment, before he automatically raised his hand to follow Aiba’s gesture and he could feel some Ramen under his chin.

At Ohno’s offer, Nino finally looked up. “No” Nino said. “Don’t take Oh-chan anywhere…you can go with my servant, though” Nino said, as he turned to look at Hana and threw an eraser at her.

“The man who likes to eat Ramen, find him in a Ramen shop, the man who likes to eat books find him in a…book…shop” Hana said, without looking up from the book she was holding, ignoring the eraser which just hit her at the forehead.

“You mean Ohno-kun’s house?!” Aiba blurted.

“The library, you idiot!” Nino retorted.

Aiba frowned at Nino. “If I hadn’t known you better, I’d say you’re sulking”

“I’m not” Nino said shortly.

Ohno, on the other hand, nodded obsessively.

“Why?” Aiba asked.

Ohno shook his head, obsessively.

Sho frowned at the four people standing in front of him. They had been standing there and they had been talking in with each other in whispers-harsh whispers. Sho made a sigh.

So, a study group consists of two complete nerds and two cool and smart asses is a bad idea after all?

He stood up finally. “Do you guys want to study or not?” Sho asked, scratching the back of his neck, trying to sound casual, even though the ‘whispers commotion’ was starting to get on his nerve.

“That’s it” Nakahara said. “We’re breaking up”

Already…? We still haven’t got into the lovey-dovey phase of this relationship…

“What are you talking about?” Sho asked.

“I can’t agree with these two nerds” he said bluntly, whereas Takuya nodded beside him.

“We’re here to solve math problems…all of us will agree only to the right answer, right?” Sho said, raising his hand to his hips now. Well, mothering four other people that cares about him equally is definitely a fun thing to do, but to go around and get some mothering job from some random people was not what he intended to do in the first place.

“I don’t care” Takuya said. “I don’t even want to be seen with these nerds, they are an embarrassment, can’t you see? You should choose between me and Nakahara or these people”

Sho made another sigh. He looked at the four people who were eagerly looking at him, waiting for an answer. Seriously, he thought that he could get along well with all four of them. The two nerds were…awkward, but they had their fine moments; moments when Sho thought he was going to explode with laughter just seeing them being awkward. Whereas the other two, Sho had known them ever since he entered the team, they get along very well and they have the same sport obsession, which is a plus…but those two, he couldn’t actually laugh at. They were dead serious about things.

“Sho-kun” Nakahara said when he felt that Sho had taken too much time to decide.

“Sa-sakurai-san” the other team said.

Well, between two teams who call you ‘-kun’ and ‘-san’… which one would you chose?

Ohno glanced at Nino, who was still crouched in his seat, absorbed with his game. He kept on staring, until even the absorbed Nino felt restless.

“What’s wrong?” he finally asked.

Ohno shook his head. “Nothing…”

Nino didn’t say anything after Ohno’s simple answer. Ohno put his head to the desk and closed his eyes.

“So how’s the art contest coming?” Nino asked suddenly. “You were concentrating so hard last night.”

Ohno, who had his head facing the other side, turned his head at Nino, as he still kept it with contact to the desk. “They asked me to make five art pieces” Ohno said half heartedly. “And I’m still working on the first one…”

“You can always quit if you want, you know. You don’t have to always follow my suggestion” Nino said, as he straightens himself in his seat a little.

Ohno blinked at Nino for awhile before he mumbled. “It’s starting to feel like it…” Ohno said. “I feel like I’m counting on this a lot” Ohno closed his eyes after those words and felt as though he wanted to fall asleep.

“Do you want to play with my DS?” said Nino’s voice.

Oh… what a weird dream…

“Oh-chan, do you want to play?”

Why only voices, when will the pictures appear?

Suddenly he felt his shoulder was shaken. Ohno slowly opened his eyes.

“Do you want to play, Oh-chan?” Nino said, as he shook Ohno.

Ohno widen his eyes before he stood up abruptly. “Huh? NO!”

“Why not?” Nino asked, looking up at him.

Because it’s weird! Because it’s weird! Because… it’s weird!

“Well… because…umm…I…don’t feel like it” Ohno said, trying to sound…less freaked out.

“Oh, ok”

Nino never let anyone touch his DS, let alone play it, majorly because he bought it with his own money. But why would he care to share now?  Ohno looked down at Nino for awhile, before he felt as though he needed to go out and take a walk to shake off what he just heard. But then Ohno made a small frown and turned to look at Nino.

“Nino…are you ok?”

“Yeah, I’m fine” Nino said in apathy.

Hearing the way he replied, Ohno frowned and slowly walked up towards him and stood near his desk. “I’ll…quit it, Nino. I’ll quit the art contest … if…if it makes you feel left behind…”

Nino blinked at Ohno for awhile, as though slowly trying to consume what he had said… but then he grinned and put his hand on Ohno’s stomach.

“Why so emotional…? Are you pregnant?”

****

Aiba walked towards the library, feeling that he wanted to get himself occupied anyway, and grumpy Nino really wasn’t a pleasant toy to play with.

“Ah, Aiba-san, where are you going?”

Aiba, who were busy staring out the window as he walked, finally had his eyes on the person who just called him. “Takuya-san” Aiba said, as he looked at that person and tried to smile.

“Where are you going?” he repeated.

“I’m looking for Sho-kun” he said calmly, even though he realized that the person who was looking at him was just making a rigid face.

“He’s busy right now”

Aiba raised his eyebrows. “You know where he is?”

“He’s studying with us, and I don’t think you should disturb him”

Aiba made a frown. Feeling a teeny bit irritated at the ‘I-own-him’ tone that came out from that person’s mouth. Where did he come from? He thought, but the irritation he felt wasn’t shown on his face even a little. “I will not disturb him” Aiba said, still smiling-even though a bit faded-pleasantly.

“I just wanted to make sure” Takuya said, before he started walking again towards the other direction, leaving Aiba, standing alone with nothing more than confusions. Aiba tilted his head before he made a small ‘Hmm’ only heard by himself as he wrapped his arms across his chest.

He started walking again and led himself toward the library. He stood at the library’s door. The inside was visible through the glass door, without him having to open it. He put his hand at the handle but stopped when he realized that he could see Sho even from that spot.

Sho had his usual concentration on his face whenever he studies. And Nakahara in front of him was talking continuously as he pointed at Sho’s paper once in awhile, which Sho nodded to.

Aiba swallowed. He looked at Nakahara; who obviously understood math, science and history more than Aiba could. And at that moment, he suddenly felt as though a new and unexpected thought started to arouse within him.

I can’t help Sho-kun to pass an entrance exam…What can I do even if I walk in?

Aiba made another troubling sigh, before began walking away, feeling as though he had let go something more than just the door’s handle.

To Aiba-kun

I’ll be at the library during lunch break today, you can come if you want…but you need to leave the bento box behind though…sorry.

From Sho-chan

“Why bother to have mails when you will not read it?”

“I didn’t realize I received mails…”

“Do you want me to snail mail you all my emails?”

“Please don’t!”

Sho just smiled at Aiba’s panic expression. They walked together towards the train station. Aiba read and re-read the mail again and he could feel some strange relief knowing that Sho did mention where he wanted to go.

“So you formed a study group?” Aiba asked, after they got their tickets.

“Yeah…I thought I might need it” Sho replied casually as he checked his watch, conforming the time again.

“Do you like those people?” Aiba asked, trying not to sound doubtful.

“They’re ok” he replied, before he frowned at Aiba. “What’s wrong?”

Aiba shook his head. “Nothing…” he said as he looked at the email again, just simply staring at it. Suddenly Aiba’s face lights up and he quickly smiled. “Ah~! Did something happen between you and Matsujun?”

Sho frowned and he frowned so hard he thought his eyebrows must have met. Sho could almost feel a lump started to accumulate in his throat. He usually could bear with Aiba’s randomness and Aiba’s randomness could come pretty frequent, but there was never a time that his randomness could be the nail that hit him straight in the head. “What do you mean?” Sho asked before he swallowed.

“Well… because you guys aren’t that…intense anymore. Before this I was so afraid that you two could kill each other any minute. But recently, you guys have…mellowed. Honestly, did something happen?!”

“No-nothing much…”

That’s not practically… a lie is it?? Getting kicked and saved by a woman isn’t actually…’something’

“I- I can punch him in the face right now if he appears in front of me!” Sho said as he clinched his fist at Aiba’s face level. But instead of looking at Sho’s clinched fist, Aiba was looking way beyond him.

“Oh~ there’s Jun-kun over there!”

EHHhhh~?!!!

Jun looked at them at the call of his name and saw the two people who were coming towards him. He widened his eyes at the sight of Sho who was just behind Aiba, almost dragging his feet as he walked. Aiba was still grinning at Jun quickly pulled the dramatically slow Sho by the forearm along with him. They stood staring awkwardly at each other for awhile…

“I’m going to the toilet!”

Sho and Jun said simultaneously.

They abruptly looked at each other.
“Oh, is there something interesting in the toilet? Can I go too?”
