It's been a very busy few days around here. I think this is the first time that I've been able to sit for more than a couple of minutes at a time

I left Rafiq a comment on their LJ. Hope he gets it. I'm really proud. Though still a bit shocked that THAT much time has gone by.

Exactly! In a way I wonder if it's worse for me as I'm not there to see the gradual changes, so it seems sudden and WHOOSH! All grown up. :)

Sometimes it doesn't seem so gradual. Rafiq's as tall as I am now. Hell, Kendra's 15 now, and Markez gets there next month.

Amber's always complained about being the short one in the family at about 5'10" or so, and now she's facing the inevitability of all the kids bypassing her.

I find it amusing.

Congratulations to Rafiq for this huge step! It takes a lot of work and determination to get through this far and that is cause for sugar and celebrations! :-D

It's taken a lot more from him than it has for most kids, but he's managed to get past it all right. It meant a lot to all of us to see him up there getting his diploma.

We're all doing pretty well, thank you. I'm glad to see that you and others are still around. I was beginning to wonder if there was a mass exodus...
