dude, pamela, don't let people get you down. there are points in people's lives when they don't talk and times when they talk a lot. the real friendships aren't proven by the times you talk everyday about mundane things but by the times when there's space and absence and then the reconnection. real friends don't have to talk everyday or every week or even every month. my mom and her best friend of all time won't talk for extended periods of time, not because they don't want to, but because life happens and there are other things that have to be taken care of. don't think for a second that if you called me up and needed anything or just wanted to talk or watch a movie or something that i wouldn't be there.

I am most definitely in agreement to the aforementioned statement...100%. My best friend in high school and I can go HUGE periods of time without talking and be fine. I guess I just realized how many friendships of convenience I have found myself in and how incredible silly I feel for playing into the game. I give and give and give and in return feel like I basically get slapped in the face. I know without a doubt that there are those good friends I could turn around and talk to after months or years even, but friendships that I have to work so hard for aren't good for me or really even worth it. The post was my verbal outburst and now it's time for me to take action. Thank you for your input though.... I really do appreciate it! :)

sooooo yeah. you just posted my thoughts exactly for like the last gosh-i-don't-even-know-how-long. i know you know this. we are going to meet the kitten tonight (i hope, i still haven't heard from the girl but i'm going to call her in about 10 minutes).
