Papa got the final round of his test results in last Tuesday. They had to go in and do some minor surgery on his throat to remove some abnormal growths and drain off some fluid. They took more biopsies in the process. He's cancer free. We're all very relieved. His throat is feeling better and he can breathe more easily now with the spots removed.

Olympics Rock!
Seriously, I've been excited about the Olympics for a while. I'm currently even more excited because the opening ceremony is kicking ass so far. I did cheat a bit though. Bad News: Upon further research, I discovered that the $400 Amtrak passes are for international visitors only. Bummer! As a US resident, I would have to pay $709 for a 30 day all-you-can-travel pass. However, this pass would allow me, nay require me to travel at least once to Canada (odd.) Plus, $709 is still a good deal for a month of transit, ( Read more... ) -
Plans in the Making
Short Term: Wednesday I plan on driving to Memphis to chill with Jason for a night. I will leave the Blonde Beast chez lui, and hop a train (yes a train) to New Orleans at 6:45 Thursday morning.
