Ahhh....

Eight hours working on the roof the last two days, and I think I've done about all I can do w/o building an entirely new roof, and I'm exhausted! I had to push through the pain yesterday to go fishing, but I couldn't waste a sunny 75 degree day this early in the season. It's always odd to be out in temps like that, and still see large piles of snow ( Read more... )

That darn roof of yours... Is it leak free now? That has got to be such a pain having to deal with that.
As far as the LJ drama and the people involved...I would just let it roll off your back, dont get upset by it. I got pulled into it too, I was upset, but I soon realized its just not worth it!
Granted, one of the people involved did apologize to me and I have to admit that was nice of her, but I still get angry knowing I was pulled into it by false accusations! I dont think I deserved that. I havent done anyone no harm, and for this to happen....ekkk! I guess I STILL get upset over it and here I am telling you to let it roll of your back! *knocks head on desk* lol j/k
Anyhow, the best thing to do to relax is fishing. Hubby & I do that, not very often, but we go. We are about 15 minutes away from a lake and manage to slip away and fish. Even if we dont catch a thing, its time well spent. ; )

Heavy rain this weekend will be the test. I sure hope that I'm done with the worse of it. I still have more to do to finish, but it should be leak free now.

I have eliminated all involved from my flist. If that is the game they want to play, they may play with each other, and I will be out of their silly loop. If they want to be lead around by deceptive people, they are fools, and I'll leave it at that.

Yeah, I'm lucky to be close to two lakes, and I really need to push myself more often, because it does so much good for my soul, whether I get a bite, or not. Good medicine for you guys too. Go as soon as you can!

Yes, actually we just talked about it the other day. We got this huge boat/raft thingie at a yard sale several months ago and want to try it out. It had a paddles. Should be fun! I think all the fishing gear will fit in it, and room for us too!
I will have to take a pic of it. We can tie it down on top of our van.

Hey that's a great idea! I need something like that here. Lake Rupert is really a lake for boats, and fishing from the bank is often difficult, and I've nearly fallen in a few times, and sprained my ankle once. Then there are the lovely ticks, chiggers, and I'm sure there's a viper or two around, but I always watch for those guys!

Did you get your raft at a yard sale, or new? I wish I could afford a boat, but a raft would do.

Sounds like a great day, Steve!
I can't believe it was 75 degrees there. Almost as warm as here! What a pleasant surprise that must be to go from freezing your buns off to 75 degrees :)

Nothing like a wonderful day in nature to help get your perspective back!

OMG...can't lose my buns! ROTF!

It was great, thank you! Damp, rainy, and 50 degrees now :(

Oh well, at least I got out and rewarded myself after all that work. I feel quite accomplished now, and that's really got those Spring fever juices flowing now!
