I'll tell you this, I've gotten on search engines looking for this that or the other, and gotten what looked like what I wanted, then found out I'd gotten a few snatches of a totally private post.
Like I Yahooed a certain actor and there was definitely a comment there at the search page link that said, "this guy is SO gay, I've met him and all his mannerisms are[bleah bleah bleah]". Then I click the link and I see other comments from people about whatever's posted, but realized someone had made the "personal comment" an eyes only one. If that makes any sense.
I think there is never any such thing as complete privacy on the 'net--it's the central nervous system of the planet!!!!!!. But if you have common sense, you can be fairly secure.
