my ex and a few of my friends went to Taiwan with Loveboat and every single one of them raved about it. so much so that i even thought about going and i'm not chinese! LOL

You know, the organizers are pretty anal about the participants being chinese. However, exceptions are freely made for mixed kids as long as they have a bit of chinese heritage. If you're Korean and your last name is Lee you could fool the system :). The people in charge of the selection process are also pretty elitist. So if you have the right connections or have some stellar quality, they'll let you on in that rare case regardless of race. I knew a pure Thai girl who got to go because she was one of Harvard's top scholars. Another girl I knew was completely white...but her step-dad was this well-connected Chinese dude. It was impressive, this white girl spoke better Chinese than half the people on the trip!
