long ago I used my various livejournals to update with silly metaphorical nonsense that I hoped someone would interpret into reality [which of course, was rarely read, and those who did had no idea what was going on] In a way, I really enjoyed those nonsensical writings and I wish I still had that in me. Perhaps I do, when things finally change

Congratulations. I almost applied to VCU for grad school this year (I got turned down by both my first choices) and will be applying there next year. Reading this, I looked at the following lines:

I'm hoping that this is my chance to rip out of this static life and grow, whether it's for better or for worse. I crave something different in myself.

and more then anything else I have seen or thought of, that sums up what college has been, at least for me. Best of luck to you!
