If Graceworks, the job hunters program at Grace Cathedral, is a soaring, inspirational gothic structure, Jewish Vocational Services, my second stop on the Career Search Path, is a post-industrial factory. Be assertive with the professionals you encounter and make sure that everyone involved is able to overcome the temptation to take the path of least resistence ( ... )

I'm not on a dance break. I'm going to Chinese class on Tuesday, so I have to go to Western Star on Monday to dance. Last 2 mondays, I haven't felt up to it, but I intend to go back soon.

I just meant that when gloomy thoughts get strong, it's good to go dance and forget about things for a while.

Thanks for your comments about the system being "broken." I needed to hear that. All these 30-somethings are talking to me about being proactive and trying new things. I have to remember that they are talking about a different world than the one I knew, and that an old dog, though he can learn a few tricks, is not a young dog, and shouldn't be asked to behave like one.
