We used to go to Capitola every year for summer family vacation. My father and his then-girlfriend used to dine at this one restaurant there that you needed to take a small tram car down to get to. I can’t remember what it was called and have no idea if it’s still there.

I love Big Basin. Berry Creek Falls is one of my favourite places in the world and I need to return there one day with a camera in tow (the last time I went, I forgot to bring my camera. Stupid! Stupid!).

I will have to try Berry Creek next time. We went to the Maddock cabin. It's so peaceful there, among the redwoods.

The hike out to Berry Creek Falls is long and strenuous. There’s also Sempervirens Falls, which is much nearer to the visitor’s center, but I have yet to go there.
