What saved "Starsky and Hutch" for me: Owen Wilson. He has a remarkable talent to be cast in terrible movies and, often, be the only good thing about them. But then, when he's cast in a brilliant movie Wes Anderson movie, like "Bottle Rocket" or "The Royal Tenenbaums", he shines. He's really an incredible actor, but his talent is wasted in slacker movies.

...and he was also responsible for making and writing those movies. he was automatically cast for those roles.
haha. so i guess its just that he doesnt put any effort into auditioning for movies, cuz he can easily audition for the slacker movies, and the good movies he was in he produced with Wes Anderson.
