The true depth of your pain lies almost solely in the fact that it's your own. No matter how similar a situation, your pain is always yours to bear and noone else can ever truly know.
hmf...ya really think so? how cuz? i'm kinda inclined to disagree...and i mean no lack of sympathy, just philosophically speakin'...seems to me that the depth of pain (for me anyway) comes from its ultimate inevitability despite its sources so often seeming entirely avoidable. but yeah, thats my take on the matter, fer what its worth.
he was basically saying how and if you feel pain it's all controlled by you. If you want to feel pain you will. If you want to feel relief you will. You just have to believe in it.
