1. If your host served you pie, would you want/need to know that the crust included a very small amount of alcohol? (Yes/No)

2. Do you know someone who would want/need to know that the crust included a very small amount of alcohol? (Yes/No)

(I encourage you to pass this question on and report back.)

1. No.

2. I doubt it. I can't see it coming up unless somebody was, say, very Orthodox Jewish, and folks at that level of observance usually wouldn't be comfortable eating in my home (though I suppose it would be relevant for, say, a potluck or other group meal).

(1) Need, no. Want, sure! But only because it's interesting.
(2) Only in the case of allergies, for example, if the alcohol somehow contained corn or whatever.

1. No
2. Yes

But I assume you know what my answers would be already. ;-)

Hmm, interesting question in general. I couldn't resist - I went and generated a poll (my first one!) in my LJ. Feel free to watch it and see how it develops!

I would want to know what kind of vodka was being used. (How did I hear about this even without reading CI? No idea. But I did.)

I used unflavored Stoli - I usually buy 100 proof but I couldn't tell you (without looking) if this particular bottle was 80 or 100 proof. In theory the 100 proof should be the better choice.
