Why do I always get kidnapped at the most inopportune times?  And fighting back didn't even work! That Mid-Boss guy acted like the beatings I gave him before everyone showed up barely fazed him.

Anyways, thanks again for coming to get me everyone.  I appreciate it a - Wait a second!  How did that pendant get here?! I tossed it as soon as I could

Even worse. He forced me on a "date".

And THAT, is why we do not talk about the Cake.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will not be talked about. Especially if bringing this pendant back after I threw it away was someone's idea of a practical joke.

You mean you hit him before and it did nothing... and then that wrestling move of yours did... apparently, it did "103,000" whatever that means.

He still took that suplex like it was nothing. And I did manage to do a number on him before, once he untied me from that chair.

That's true... he kept getting up anyways. Like some kinda cockroach.

Anyways, you're okay, right? He didn't do anything... weird... did he?

Except for that pendant of his doing that shield and other stuff, no. In fact...Now that I think about it, he barely touched me. It was mostly me hurting him.

Standard practice in the GDF appears to be to ignore all memories and records relating to this Mid-Boss. Now I understand why. I'll do it myself, except to investigate these demons so that this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

I do have one question, though. Who was that in the Bonta-kun costume?

That's one practice I'll definitely adopt.

Bonta-kun? Uhhhh...I'm not sure. He's shown up before though, when some thugs tried to go after me.

It's odd. I didn't think theme park mascots were typically experts at close-quarters combat. Or designated themselves bodyguards for civilians.

Ehehehehe...Well, if you think about it, most things are odd around here. So why not have someone going around in a suit acting as a kind of hero?

Hey, no problem.

Besides, that whole incident dragged out a Machine Empire officer... a high-ranking one too. Kicking his ass totally made it worthwhile.

As for that pendant... what's the problem? It probably saved your life.

You mean besides confining me in a giant glowing blue ball that I couldn't escape from? Keep in mind that said ball also caused me to be eaten. It also gave me wings and painfully shoved information in my head that I should have never known?

Well, hey, give and take.

But I have it on good authority that said giant worm likes eating pretty much anything and might have gone after you anyways. And it was thanks to that information that we could defeat the other enemies.

Okay, so next time you can have all sorts of stuff shoved into your head because of the pendant. Then we'll see how you feel.

It seems as long as this Mid-Boss guy is concerned, little details like laws of physic, logic or common sense do not apply.

I swear, nothing in my life makes sense anymore.

When I got surrounded by weirdness out there, I tried to focus on one thing: there was an enemy, and it had to be defeated. Shoot the enemy up and the rest comes later.

Too bad it didn't work very well.

I don't even have that to focus on! I'm not a pilot or anything else that the GDF recruits! Hell, I don't even work there anymore, since that bastard Major Ingram is gone.
