I have a free legal copy of Voyetra Music Studio Kit (with midi cables) for
anyone who could use it. I bought that and several other items for a penny each.
Oh how I do love junk out days at Best Buy. I barely missed out on a three
hundred dollar computer chair for 18 bucks.
Even though Huntsville is one of the largest concentrations of engineers in the
world, I've determined that there isn't a large demand for mechanical engineers.
All the interviews I've had wanted me to be computer/software engineer,
industrial systems engineer, or electrical engineer. I even checked with the Air
Force thingamajig at UAH and there every type of engineering positions listed
except mechanical.
While I’m sure there are some out there, I’m beginning to wonder what I’m
supposed to with the degree I’m earning. Also, I feel that my ambitions have
once again gotten away from me. I’ve recently have enjoyed making things out
of scrap wood around the house, and I keep thinking about starting my own
private little shop and maybe small farm when I graduate and work for a few
years. I’ve said all that to say this: I’ve spent a lot of time dreaming of
my future, but I don’t if that future the one God wants for me.  I would love
to use my skills on the mission field, but I doubt there is any need mechanical
engineers. Electrical and civil engineers maybe but not mechanical.
