In The Shadows of Darkness and Light: Starting Point

Last night we kicked off my new D&D4ed campaign called at this point In the Shadows of Darkness and Light. It will be a fairly fluid campaign so I had built four encounters where three could have been the first. I thought we would get through one, but having not played at low levels before I didn’t realise how quickly we would motor through them.

And a mighty game it was, with a taste of things to come and some interesting character and battlefield dynamics. It's fun being back at low level, keeping the pace up, squashing rats and smashing skellies. I don't think the challenges were too easy for a first game, players getting to grips with new characters and powers and tactics. Nice to have some soft targets to test the waters with.

But dire rat filth fever? Really? ;-)
