Isn't Damien just so cute!?!!!??? (Yea, that's my brother who is being pinned by the baby. But I know no one cares about him. Baby is more important!!!)
So, now that I've done that I can go on to gush about the up-coming Christmas vacation.
Only 16 more days (counting weekends) until I get to go home for Christmas break. 16!!! I can't wait. No real big plans thus far. I know that Christmas Eve is going to be spent, as usual, with mom and dad going back and forth between home and church. Two services, one at 6 or 7 and the other at midnight. Between which times we read a book called Home for Christmas, a very family oriented book with many amusing parts in it. I don't really know how it became a tradition but it is now and probably will be for a very long time. Chad may or may not be joining us for Christmas Eve but he is definately joining us for Christmas Day.
Christmas Day we will wake up at a decent hour and make our seperate ways into the living room to curl up in the heat of our wood stove and begin the process of present opening and stocking disembowling. Stockings always come first, presents next. We'll take turns opening our presents one at a time(mom, dad, me, mom, dad, me, etc.) until there are no more presents left. After the rather quick game of "see who can pick up all the wrapping the fastest" and somehow causing even more chaos in the process we organize the gifts and create our own seperate hordes. Now, depending on whether or not Chad will be staying over Christmas Eve or not will, we will either go to pick him up and then go to my cousin's house or just go directly to my cousin's house if he is staying.
My entire family, aunts, cousins, etc., will be there and we will eat, open gifts, play the Yankee Swap game (oh so much fun), and eat some more. Who knows what will happen from there.
Nothing really exciting happening after Christmas until January. On the fourth, getting up very very early (4:30am) in order to catch our flight down to FL. Mom and dad will be staying in Disney for their anniversary while Chad and I will meet his mom at the airport and go home with her. Don't really know what is going to happen while we're down there but I'll let you know after the fact. We fly back home on the 9th and then a day of rest on the 10th before we all go our seperate ways and such.
Well, I really don't have anything more to gush about so I will just end this now. Besides, I have to finish reading Jane Eyre. Yeck. Wish me luck...
