It's been a long time since I've posted or even read LJ. No big changes or anything, I just... stopped doing it. Laziness.

I was wondering what Petr is up to and he's playing in Switzerland, which is probably a good situation. In the process I found an article from his Pens days and I had to archive it somehow, which is where LJ comes in. :P

There is so much good-terrible TV on right now. no thinking required, and shirts off. I feel sort of terrible that there is so much good TV around right now (breaking bad et al) and I am watching Teen Wolf and sleepy hollow.

I'm enjoying Sleepy Hollow quite a bit! I love the humour in it, like when Ichabod is struggling to open one of those awful hard plastic blister packs and finally goes, "WHAT IS THIS IMPENETRABLE BARRIER???"

Breaking Bad has lots of acclaim and I'm sure it's good, but I just have no interest in the subject matter at all.

yes! ANd I like that he has great chemistry with the female lead and they don't have sex as their end game.

Yeah, that's what I like about Elementary too. There seems to be interest from fans in shipping them (why???) but the show runners did state before the show started that they would not be taking the romantic path so I hope they stick to their guns.

What are your three or four most favorite board games right now?

Thanks, and yay! I'm going to try to post more regularly now. I feel like there's a black hole in my memory from January until now haha.

Most of the board games I like are coop:

I really like Escape: The Curse of the Temple because it involves rolling dice and everyone plays at the same time and you can get curses that make you play with one hand on your forehead or don't allow you to talk.

Pandemic is another fun one because it really does feel like you have to cooperate with your CDC team and fly all over the world to try and prevent disease outbreaks from happening. An iPad version just came out.

I really like Arkham Horror because it's Cthulhu-themed and it's hard. I haven't played this one all that much because it's a long game. Probably 3 hours at least and we played an 8 player game that lasted 7 hours (although that includes a few breaks for food and just sitting around and talking).

For competitive games, I like Lords of Waterdeep and Relic. I have a few games that I'm keen to try, but it's hard to schedule a game day/ ( ... )
