My days trinkle by and I don't try too hard to speed them up. I have no motivation, no desire for exploring ( Read more... )

Not to remain a lurking, unintroduced stranger for too long...I found you via cirratus.org, one of my favourite sites.

Have a wonderful night (or day, I guess it's quite light out there all the time at present with how far north you are).

Well, thank you. :">

I suppose Canada doesn't get the Nordic-extremeness when it comes to night and day? Perhaps around the really upper part where no one lives. ;)

It's interesting you got here from cirratus. Not many people who see the site find this nook in the wall. :)

It seems so, I was fascinated a while ago by the musical tastes, and I did a little experiment, I started listening to Anathema, and then toured some bands that were linked to them in some fashion (genre, region...other manners), and got to Opeth, the from there Katatonia, Soilwork, and The Gathering. Then HIM was suggested by a friend...and when I came back to the site a couple months later to see what convergence I had, I was quite suprised at the similarity. So then I, for some reason (maybe it was on the site ages ago) thought that there was a lj associated with the site, so I just went to cirratus, which was then a skip away from this journal.

Then I saw the similar feelings of isolation I had when I moved away to a non-native language speaking land, and thought I'd like to see where they take you.

And yes, the extremes in Canada, pertaining to daylight, are only in the territories way up north...in the next week or so our longest day in this city will have sunrise at about 05h00 and sunset about 22h00.

I'm so non-Finn. :D

Sami mentioned Juhannus was the longest day of the year. And I said, "Oh? Does it all go downhill after that?"

"Yes," he says with a pout.

"Oh good! Then I'll be able to get some good sleep soon!"

I know what you mean.
Even though I've lived here all my life, I still have not learned to sleep properly in the summer :)

And he doesn't even look sausage-y. ;D

I think life will be nicer with a little pooper. Kirby will certainly be happier--puppies will play while kitties growl and hiss. :)
