I think it's Karelian and up to the listener's interpretation... anyway, this is what I made of it. I'm not fluent with dialects THAT heavy, but since it sounds, mostly, like savo, my dialect, I could translate some. I removed the vottikaalina -part from in between to give it a more fluent outlook...

Sami's grandmother was from Karelia (and spoke no English), but she's passed away.

Ah well. :) Even if I don't understand it, I like how it sounds. Seamus even does sheltie dances to it. :>
