Feeding Blogs into My Head

I've come across a shit load of people's blogs that I adore, and I would love to feed them into livejournal. BUT it doesn't look like that is an option. What do you guys suggest as far as a user-friendly blog feeder? I still prefer livejournal for my blogging and to see all your blogs, but I want a simple way to subscribe to others. OK, the

I just wish there was an easy way to get blog updates directly emailed to me. Or is there? I still don't quite understand how to use RSS feeds, but I know I've subscribed to blog email updates before and now I cant figure it out (though I realize it depends on the blog).

Not sure I know the answer to your question, unless you want to use Google Reader. I haven't really used it so I don't know if it's what you're looking for or not.

Ya, I'm going to go with Google Reader if I can't figure out how to feed my LJ. Ya, I have no idea how to get shit emailed to me. If it all just fed to my lj, it would all be good.

Oh wait. You can read RSS feeds on LJ. They call them syndicated accounts. I've used them myself. It's in the FAQ: How do I watch feeds on my Friends list? What are syndicated accounts?

The only thing I haven't quite figured out is how to get new RSS feeds onto LJ that aren't on the list of RSS feeds.

I am pretty sure you can get the RSS feeds to feed into livejournal, you just have to set up a LJ feed account for each one first. This is where I would email Damon (zeagus on lj) and ask him to do it! He is the "black belt in technology" as I've heard him called :) I would love Jason Mraz' journal fed into my lj too, as well as our Flickr library updates.
