Emily gave me the new version of Life for Christmas, and we've been obsessively playing it ever since. It's like sweet crack. The best part is that the device that calculates your money and life points is called the Lifepod. It makes me think of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and aliens forming in their pods. I just had to squee over the whole Soylent Green comment. I've been meaning to watch that for AGES.

I've never actually seen the movie, but I'm familiar with the plot. And the catchphrase, of course. I'm always surprised when people have never even heard of it. I always assumed that the majority of people at least knew about that line.

Now I'm thinking about the episode of Futurama where they were drinking Soylent Cola. ^_____^

There was an episode of the Simpsons (I'm almost certain it was that show) where they were at a dog show and one of the vendors' booths was called "Soylen Chow" which I thought was fucking hilarious. There are lots of references to it all over the place.
