The campus bookstore, where you definitely DON'T get more bang for your buck

May 09, 2008 11:09

I've never expected to get very much from the campus bookstore, but yesterday took the cake. I brought my books from both fall and spring semesters back (about $600 worth), and got a grand total of $53.75 back. Seriously? I thought I'd at least get $100 for them. I was also generously given a coupon for 20% on university t-shirts - which ( Read more... )

Definitely. I don't think he's at a Chuck level of uke, but uke nevertheless. I look forward to misinterpreting future game events on a yaoi scale.

Game-wise I'm at the beginning of June, and the gang is supposed to be investigating the rumors surrounding Fuuka. Every time Junpei goes on about how disappointed he is to not have another girl on their team, I think "COVERUP." XD

I love your icon of Akihiko repeatedly putting a gun to his head. Before I actually played the game I just laughed and thought, "My god, look at this guy blowing his brains out!" After witnessing my first battle, the icon became ten times more hilarious.

lol, Junpei's Belive It Or Don't. :D

Anything related to school is a ripoff and will not play fare when it comes to money. If they have your $$$ they'll be damned if they have to give it back. Oh well, at least you got *something* for it (my friend couldn't sell his textbook at all because it wasn't in demand. wtf? After being rejected from the store, the textbook made a short voyage to the first recycling bin where it made its new home until recycling day.)

Persona 3? What is this? I've never heard of it before. It sounds like it's made of awesome.

Yeah, at least I got some worth out of the books in the end. I ended up throwing the coupon away. I probably would have used it eventually, but it expired the next day and I had to work while the bookstore was open. Bastards. (I still can't believe that I hardly got anything back for my hideously expensive astronomy book. I never actually read it; I just looked at the pictures. But if I had known I wouldn't get anything back for it I'd have just kept it.)

P3 is awesome. It's about a group of students at a Japanese high school who fight Shadows that appear during the Dark Hour (between midnight and 1:00 AM). The students use Personas in battle, and you could slightly compare it to aeon summoning in FFX. I love how they summon their Personas - they use Evokers, which look exactly like guns. Whenever they want to summon, they hold the Evoker to their head and pull the trigger. It's awesome because we get to see psuedo brains being blown out. XD
