I really love how the social medias can make us that much closer to 'famous' people. i have had multiple experiences on the knitting site ravelry where a designer 'likes' my finished object of their design. totally chuffed. :D

Yep. I think famous people like social media cuz they can interact with fans on their own terms, rather than having people constantly running up on them all hysterical and interrupting everything they're trying to do.

That's really neat that the author noticed your quote. Pretty good quote, too.

And appropriate for this time of year.

Dave Ramsey always balks at tax refunds because "it's like giving the government an interest-free loan"...but I still love getting one. We should have a nice refund this year as well.

I understand that reasoning, but on the other hand, if you put that money in a savings account, the interest wouldn't keep up with inflation. I don't know what else I would do on a small scale, where I could also get the money back in just a year, and make more of a profit.

And if I had an extra $20 on each paycheck, I wouldn't do the same type of things with it that I'd do with a $520 refund. So I feel like it's pretty much just a matter of preference. No real wrong choice there.
