It is so interesting to me that changing a light bulb is something of note. It was not that long ago, that monthly there were bulbs to change. Now, it happens so rarely that it is an event!

I guess this could come across sort of sound sarcastic, but it really is interesting. I love the new light bulbs they sell now, they last forever and they use less electricity!

I also like that bulbs are getting so efficient that running around turning them off all the time isn't such a concern anymore. ;-)

Leaving a light on over the kitchen sink reminds me of the grandparents, for some reason. Sounds homey!

Keep your chin up, something will come around.

I'm sorry about the interview, but I am impressed with the company. Most of the time, these days, companies don't even acknowledge the fact that you interviewed and someone else was chosen. They were particularly careful to keep the door open with you by being cordial.

I like LEDs too. I haven't learned to trust them yet enough to leave them on all the time, but they don't seem to get hot!

One of the things that make LEDs use so much less electricity is that they generate very little heat. The electricity going into them is very efficiently converted almost exclusively to visible light. That's what I remember from the electronics classes. I feel very comfortable with them and their safety. I also like that they aren't made with mercury or anything that requires special disposal. I pretty sure most florescent bulbs are just going straight into the landfill, despite the company's virtuous warnings not to do that. To me, LEDs are far superior to florescent in almost every way, except maybe price. Manufacturing quality would be my only real concern.

I'm encouraged for you that she saw qualities there that made her want to interview you to start with! You will get an interview, it's coming I'm sure. After all, you only need one good interview, the 'right' one.
