I hate poison ivy so much! Also, does someone report you when your grass gets tall, or do they really patrol for this?

No, someone reports you. In this case, in talking with my neighbor, I learned it was the folks across the street who are flipping a house for sale, so they want the neighborhood looking all spiffy, so that justifies their sticking their noses into other folks' business.

Hope they have an open house, then you could put a couch in the yard, surrounded by cans, and just sit shirtless & scratch, lol! Stoopit busy bodies.

I think the guy hated to give me that notice as I answered the door, an old lady who'd just washed her hair and was looking frowzy (frazzled?). He stood there on first one foot, then the other, sort of hemming and hawing a bit and finally said, "You're nosy neighbors complained so I have to give you this notice about your yard." As I made no attempt to open the door to take it, he had a hard time figuring out where to put it. I said, "just hang it on the door knob and my son will get it for me."

I wasn't about to let him know that David lived there! Let him feel guilty for giving an old lady something like that! So, there! THBBBHBTTTT!!!!

I don't know about around there, but here, it rains every day and it would be hard to find a time when you can cut the grass. Phooey on that neighbor!
