Oh yeah, so I figured out the Lenten resolution bit.  No sweets, no French fries is plenty harsh enough with dining hall food.

The semester is going quite well, and while I don't have potent philosophical musings or anything, I am rather pleased with myself.  I didn't take too many serious classes, so I got the chance to finally fill up on little ( Read more... )

The Arlington-Herndon would take you about an hour each way. Try Reston, maybe? Or Oakton? I've no idea about prices though.

Yeah, I was thinking of trying somewhere in the middle like that, hopefully cheating a little bit toward the Merrifield/Arlington side, since that's statistically where we'll be headed more often. The names are useful, as my NoVa geography is not great despite living there, so thanks! Any idea what the areas are like to live in, as far as shopping/entertainment/bars/locals go?

I would imagine so, but given as I don't know which I'll be commuting to each day, that's not so useful as it could be. The setup as is (he's *always* going to Merrifield, I'm going to *either* Arlington or Herndon) says to me that I should cheat towards the Arlington area, since that's reliably closer for him, and will either be a longer counter-commute, or a shorter with-traffic commute for me.

You're in Falls Church, right, George? How's that area working out for you?
