My Uncle Art passed away Saturday night in Ohio.  My dad told me on Sunday, I really want to go to the funeral on Thursday.  I would be able to go, my job would give me the days off, but they would be unpaid.  I can't afford to go, which really sucks.  He was my favorite uncle on ( Read more... )

I met a guy at work yesterday.  He was a volunteer on my San Jose flight.  Because my partner had to leave me after the flight left I had to take care of the people who didn't get on the flight.  I was fine with that, sometimes I work better when I'm by myself.  So I wanted to get my involuntary denied passengers taken care of first, which left him ( Read more... )

I love the smell of things baking in the oven.  I told Mike I would bake a cake today...so its in the oven now.  Instead of using a regular circle or rectangle cake pan I opted for the fluted bundt pan.  I thought it was pretty.  I made a very nice chocolate ganach to go over it.  I'm very pleased with my cake.  =)  I love to make pretty things out ( Read more... )

Today is our uniform fitting.  We have heard mixed reviews of the uniforms.  I am hoping I can find some nice things in there that will look good.  I'm excited to be able to spend $460 for new work clothes.  When I first started all I got for my uniform allotment was a skirt, two blue button down shirts, and a polo that was too big for me.  I used ( Read more... )
