Ron/Pansy Fest

The ronpansy_fest just started posting. We will be posting multi-chaptered fics at the rate one chapter per day and leaving a day in between each gift.

Frankly, I think the opening fic, Selling Spring truly is awesome, like no other fic I've read in Harry Potter, strongly evoking its setting and with a wonderful depiction of Ron and Pansy both, dealing with

As long as it's not Ron/Hermione I can deal very well with Ron!

I just recently read Deathly Hallows again - first time since I got it - and I think I have more appreciation for the book than when I first read it. Even the Ron/Hermione stuff. *sigh* But I still like to think their relationship didn't work out and now they're divorced or at least separated.

I don't know if you ever got around to reading silburygirl's sshg_exchange's entry, The Proper Care and Feeding of Zombies but Ron/Pansy was there as the secondary pairing, and I fell in love with it, and it's possibilities. There's Ron/Pansy in bambu345's The Summoning too, and writers like BeccaFran, Antosha, Pir8fancier, Inell, Jen Adamson, TheTreacle Tart and Tarie have all written in it. It makes more sense to me frankly than Ron/Hermione or Ron/Luna longterm (admittedly, it benefits that we know so little of Pansy she could have grown in ways that suite Ron in ways I find hard to believe of Hermione or Luna--we know them too well).

And the whole Gryffindor/Slytherin thing always is interesting I think--and of old enemies finding their way to each other.

Truly, the opening story is exceptional--give it a try.

It's one of those rare, rare fics that make me feel like a hack--and wish I *were* a fandom big deal so I could point and send... It's a fic that really deserves a lot of love.
