Hello everyone, this is Misti and the song you just heard was Hey It`s Canon and that was preformed by filkertom of off Live Journal. He sent the link into me and said that I could use his song. He wrote it, he recorded it and he sang it as far as I know. And it`s just fantastic I hope that you enjoyed it. Hopefully he`s going to be recording some new songs in the future and he`ll allow us to play those on here as well.
First of I want to apologise for not having a podcast last month. Real life just got hectic and on top of everything I`m doing with fandom time slipped away and I just could not get a podcast out. Hopefully having two podcasts this month and at least two next month… there might be three, that will make up for the missing podcast last month. Thank you some much for your comments and discussion on Aprils special Child Abuse Awareness podcast. It really means a lot that it touched some of you and hopefully it helped at least one or two people out there if not more. That`s my goal every year is just to try to help one person by doing that podcast.
OOTP TV SPOTS
On with all the fandom news, there`s been so much going on. Towards the end of last month Warner Brothers sent over 6 TV spots, if you haven`t watched them yet they`ve been all over fandom, you can go onto the Harmony Podcast website. There are links for all six spots so that you can watch them.
SCHOLASTIC POLL
Scholastic put a poll out that deals with shipping, or dealt with shipping I should say. There`s a new poll question up now but the last poll question was basically who winds up with whom? And the options where Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Harry/Hermione and Lupin/Tonks. And I don`t know if I`m alone in saying this but being a Harry/Hermione shipper, I was surprised to see that we where an option on there. It was a nice surprise but still a surprise. We had been way ahead in this poll and yesterday suddenly the Ron/Hermione shippers seemed to gather together or something, not sure. But they happened to get 100,000 votes in two hours. And they were ahead of us for a while but looking at it right now we`re up to 54% with over 254,000 votes, Ron and Hermione 33% with 154,000 votes. So I see that Harry/Hermione shippers rallied together once more and cast about 100,000 votes overnight. Wow guys, good job. It`s fantastic that we`re getting into this poll and just having fun with it. I know some people take it really seriously but most of the people that I know in fandom right now are just having fun. You know it`s something to do to pass the time until the movie and book come out. So keep voting.
HARMONY PODCAST CAFEPRESS STORE
More news, Harmony Podcast now has a cafepress store. We`re selling all types of shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts in there with the new Harmony Podcast logo on it. It was drawn by poppywillow otherwise known as Lisa who is my transcriptionist for the podcast and she`s also co-moderator on all things having to do with Harmony Podcast. The slogan that won the poll was `HHR we learned to swim` and that was submitted by TubaPLaya on the Harmony Podcast Website. And no it does not allude to the fact that we where sunk in the first place, it alludes to the fact that they tried to sink us and we didn`t go anywhere we`re still here. So if you want a t-shirt to wear to the OotP movie release or if you want a t-shirt to wear to the book 7 release parties go check it out. Hopefully you`ll like the new logo and purchase one, you can help out the podcast if you do. All proceeds are going to keeping the podcasts running.
PODCAST ALLEY VOTING
Podcast Alley voting, the votes are way down right now. We have only had 30 votes cast. We`re usually up close to 100 by now and maybe it`s cause I didn`t put a podcast out last month but we could really use the votes over there. We`re dropping in the rankings and we had been in the top 20 basically all off this year so far. So if you haven`t cast your vote yet please go to Podcast Alley and cast your vote for Harmony Podcast we would really appreciate it.
NEW HTV DEATHLY HALLOWS MOVIE TRAILER CONTEST
I`ve announced the new HTV Harmony Television videocast contest. It has to do with a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie trailer. With the last book coming out next month I thought it would be fun to put a contest out where fan vid makers can make a movie trailer on how they think the book`s going to go. So if you`re interested go to the Harmony Podcast website, go to the forums and under the HTV thread there is all the rules there. The deadline is Friday July 13th at midnight PST. If you make fan videos please make a video for the contest and submit it, we`d really love to have a bunch of entries. The top three videos will be played on a special episode of Harmony Television.
NEW FICLET CHALLENGES AND DEBATING FORUM REOPENED ON PORTKEY
Other news, one big reason that I`ve been so busy lately is because I`ve recently become the new forum manager over at Portkey. If you frequent the forum you`ll know that things where kind of in a disarray. A lot of our moderators had real life situations and weren`t able to take care of the forum much anymore. So Nappa contacted me and asked if I would take over managing the forum. I said absolutely you know anything I can do to help him cause he`s been such a huge help to me since I`ve started the podcast. And we`ve been finding out which moderators are still there, we`ve recently added five new moderators to the team. And right now things are just fantastic over there. They have started a brand new ficlet challenge, it`s a contest they`re doing before book 7. There are seven different subjects, they`re asking that you try to write seven ficlets for each subject. If you`re interested please go to the Portkey forums there`s a whole sub forum on it all the rules and regulations are there. The deadline for that contest I believe is July 20th. Another thing, the duelling thread over there is open again. The debating forum. And it is heavily moderated before there were trolls that got in and the thread became a mess so it was shut down. No it`s re-opened right before book 7 comes out. If you like debating go over and check it out, just no trolls, no nasty comments, try to be respectful to everybody else and have fun. That`s what it`s all about.
HAND, FOOT AND WAND CEREMONY
On another fantastic note, next month on July 9th I will be attending the Hand, Foot, Wand ceremony in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint will be casting their hand, foot prints and wand prints in cement in front of the theatre. Unfortunately Warner Brothers contacted me after I RSVPed to let me know that we`re not going to be allowed to ask any questions because of time restraints. But just being able to go and cover this is going to be a whole new thing for me. I haven`t been able to do any of these yet. So I`m going to go cover it the best I can and I will report back to you guys once that`s done. Things next month are so up in the air and it`s going to be so busy. I`m trying to plan for everything now but of course you know you can`t plan everything down to the little letter because things with our fandom change so rapidly.
STORIES REMOVED FROM HPFF
I think that`s all the news, gosh I hope so. Like I said this past month a half have been sooo busy. Oh one new thing, if you were one of my readers that read my fanfics over at HPFF, Harry Potter Fan Fiction, my stories are no longer posted on there. The website and I just do not get along. I asked them to just deleted my author account because I`ve had too many problems with them and they had too much fun telling me that I was a rule breaker which their rules are very specific if you post over there you know what I`m talking about. With all the hassles I was having to deal with I just pulled them off. So if you want to read my stories still, my home is Portkey. Go over there and all my stories are there for you to read. I apologise that there wasn`t any notice or warning that I was pulling my stories off but I didn`t get a chance. Over there you`re not allowed to post links or anything in your stories so I couldn`t say hey you know I`m leaving come find me here. I had one reader leave a review that said he had to Google me to find me. I apologise that`s not what I wanted to happen but it happens. So now my stories are on Portkey and Firewhiskey so if you`d like to read them go to either place. Just look up miscard and you`ll find them all there.
The fan fiction recommendations and also the birthday list will be coming out in the next podcast hopefully within another week, week and a half at the latest. That`s about it for all my news and I think I`ve caught you guys up. I`m going to stop rambling now and turn it over to Gwen.

On June 8th, Scholastic released the deluxe edition cover-art for Deathly Hallows. If you haven't viewed it yet, I won't spoil you - but it is, shall we say, interesting. On May 29th, Warner Bros. announced that they were moving up the date of The Order of the Phoenix movie. Instead of Friday, July 13th as planned, they are now releasing the movie on Wednesday, July 11th. Most likely this is a move to increase box office sales; quite like the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, which was released on a Thursday to compete with Spider-Man 3. However, I highly doubt most of us mind, whatever the reason - well, except those of us who have to work in the morning. But I guess we just suck.
However, in some good news - Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are going to be honoured with a Hand/Wand/Foot ceremony at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Yes, folks, they are getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to coincide with the premiere of OotP. The ceremony is set to take place on July 9th, and none other than our dear Podcast Host, Misti, will be there as "official press". She is currently taking suggestions for questions to ask Dan, Emma, and Rupert, just in case one of them happens to walk her way. On June 1st, Scholastic's Knight Bus Tour kicked off in New York City at Rockefeller Centre. As some of you may know, the Knight Bus will be touring 37 libraries across the US, where kids can get on the triple-decker bus, and record messages for the Scholastic website on how they think book 7 will end. As of this recording, the next stop on the tour is at the Free Library of Philadelphia and the Lawncrest Branch Library on June 13th. On May 31st, Warner Bros. and Universal Orlando Resorts confirmed in a webcast sent to official fan sites that they were planning a "theme park in a park" called "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter". They released some promotional posters of their designs, which appear to show Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest, all connected with Hogwarts. To view the webcast, HPANA has it up on their website, and we'll link to it in our show notes. The park is planned to be completed sometime before the seventh movie is released, in 2010. ('Wizarding World of Harry Potter' to open at Universal Orlando in 2010.)
