1.) SO MUCH LOVE for David. My favorite thing about Newsies from the first time I watched it. He's earnest, principled, more confident than he realizes, smart as hell, and completely devoted to his family (and to Jack). Sure, he can be petulant and snotty, but it's mostly because he's awkward

Jean Grey!

1.) I love Jean! It helps that the first comics I read -- Morrison's X-Men, the Dark Phoenix Saga, and Astonishing X-Men (where she's dead but still infuses everything) -- all had her in a major role. I love her character design, I love her relationships, and I think she's easily one of Marvel's best characters

1.) I wrote a 100-page thesis on him. I'd say I like him quite a bit! I love that he's selfless and dutiful and unafraid to break the rules for the good of all. I love that he loves his country but wants it to improve, and that he believes in the American ideal. I love that he's sometimes awkward and goofy, that he's an artist and a soldier and vaguely queer. I love how deeply he cares about others, and the lengths he'll go to protect them -- and to protect his principles

1.) Love her! I love that she's so tough and strong and smart as all hell. I also love that she's clearly flawed on a deep level, and that she has to learn to do things like trust people and have ethical boundaries
