Hi everyone! I just discovered this community and thought i'd drop in and say hi. I'm all for peace amongst the shippers. I don't like the constant shipper wars and i think this place is a wonderful idea ( Read more... )

The whole thing with your last paragraph is that you have to remember the H/Hr shippers who were badmouthing Ginny, Ron, and Jo. It really goes both ways with the 'giving the ship a bad name' thing.

Oh i do know it goes both ways. I know not all H/Hr shippers are angels. Far from it in fact. I was just using that as an example because i am an H/Hr shipper and i was quoting the "other side" to make my point., so to speak.

True. I do hate Ginny..but it has nothing to do with shipping H/Hr as many people like to believe. I've discovered alot of R/Hr shippers who can't stand her, some H/D sailers, and even some of the Slytherin cats.

Ron pwns all.

I'm not saying that all H/Hr shippers hate Ginny or Ron, but it became a lot more prominent, I think, after HBP and both the H/G and R/Hr ships sailed.

And Ron definitely pwns all.

But what really galled me was other shippers feeling the need to rub their canon in our faces at every turn and call us JKR haters.

Yeah, but, there are quite a lot of H/H shippers who have been saying that they are more intelligent, &c. and nothing makes you want to rub "OMG I'M SO RIGHT AND YOU WERE WRONG" into someone's face more than that. But most of what I saw was that the R/H-ers and H/G-ers kept the gloating in their/our sandboxes and pretty much stopped after a week or so.

Also, there are still many H/H shippers who call anyone who tries to explain something about HBP that said H/H-er didn't like an author worshipper, which just makes it worse.

But there are people who don't know how to behave on the internet. And to them I say, shame, shame.

I agree. And FYI to anyone who was saying ALOT of us harmonians were hating Jo, Ron and Ginny, it really wasn't ALOT of us. It was more like a small, but LOUD MOUTHED percentage.

I think most of us truly love Ron. And even though I will say I don't LOVE Ginny, I don't hate her either. And although Jo sort of let me down w/ "that interview", I still have respect for her and love the characters she created.

There was a poll on (what I think is the largest) H/Hr group, about Ron, and most people said that they like Ron.

I've liked Ginny in the first five books, the sixth book, not so much. Not because she got together with Harry, but the way she treated Ron and Hermione made me not so happy with her, especially the way she treated Ron.

Yes, Ginny is, IMO, too, a little.. immature. And I really didn't like her hanging out w/ the trio all the time towards the end of HBP. She's not one of them. She's seperate. There's 3 in the trio, not 4. And I did not like the way she treated Hermione and Ron, either.
