Where did you find out about us? Your posts on delusional_fans, harmony_podcasts
What Wizarding World profession/occupation would you choose and why? Tough choice, probably something in the ministry, not clerical work though; I can’t sit at a desk all day, it gets boring, so hopefully field work, but not necessarily an auror. Hogwarts teacher would be spiffy too
What Hogwart’s subject would you like to teach and why? Defense against the dark arts because it’s really important and has really cool/useful spells, or transfiguration b/c that’s just awesome too - hopefully I’d be able to learn how to transform into an animagus. oh look, that’s the next questoin
What would your animagus form be, if you had a say in the matter, and why?
Would it be too clichéd if I said phoenix? Because they’re just awesome. They can fly, they’re majestic and powerful, and they rise out of the ashes, so like metaphorically they always get back up after they’re beaten down
What HP character do you identify with most and why? I really don’t know actually. I guess a bit like Hermione b/c I’m pretty smart and book-ish, but also like Harry b/c I’m also into athletics (no quidditch though; flying broomsticks are unfortunately difficult to procure..), and though it’s a bit of a stretch, but I relate in that I have really no idea what to do with my life after high school - it’s just this big thing I get over with and then it’s like now what? I see Harry having that same problem w/Voldemort, and having difficulties adjusting in a post-Voldemort world (okay, I realize Voldemort is a lot more difficult than high school, but not everyone is destined to be a hero from the day they were born - not that I envy him for that). But while many people say he’ll be an auror, I kinda see him wanting a normal life, either quidditch, teaching, wand making - I really think at this point he’s lost about that
What do you think you would see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
Mm.. me in my 20s or something, working in a job I enjoy greatly (though I know not what it is yet), with the person I love (again, no idea who yet), and overall content w/my life. You know, something normal really.
If you were could invent one spell/potion/charm, what would it do, how would you use it, and what would it be called?
sequi futurus - “see the future” - so I'd be able to see into the near future + see the direct results of certain actions.
If given the chance, would you put your name in the Goblet of Fire to compete as a Triwizard Champion? Why or why not?
No, because 1000 galleons and glory don’t strike me as enough to risk my life competing in dangerous tasks. If I Had to compete, I’d do it, but I wouldn’t willingly put my name in.
If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
I honestly have no idea. I’m not saying I’m fearless - I’m far from it, it’s that I really don’t know if I have a greatest fear. Probably being alone and friendless I guess. If so, then riddikulus would make it turn into my friends smiling and waving back at me or doing something goofy to cheer me up
What do you look for in a friend?
common interests, support, easy to talk + relate to, not conceited, a few quirks to make things interesting

arrogance and sententiousness, disregard for the feelings of others

I’m indecisive and a bit dense..
What do you think are your top four abilities or qualities?
I’m intelligent, I tend to put off my own tasks to help my friends (might be a flaw sometimes too), I really dedicated when I set my mind to it, and I’m organized + good at leading

I’m indecisive, impulsive sometimes, I tend to dabble in things, and I have little patience
You were just given a pensieve as a gift, what memories would you choose to place in it and why?.
my bad memories so they no longer pain me, important memories (ie. graduation or something)
What are your feelings on the Dark Arts? Are you for it, against it, or indifferent about it?
I think it’s kinda fascinating to study, but I’m totally against its use on others
Which character from Harry Potter is your favorite and why?
Harry, because he’s so pure and noble. He has never backed down before a challenge, he’s unwaveringly loyal to his friends, and he has the weight of his world on his shoulders yet knows what he must do and presses on regardless of the challenges
Which character from Harry Potter is your LEAST favorite and why (You may not say Voldemort, Umbridge, or any known Death Eaters since they are written with the intention of dislike)?
Voldemort I actually don’t dislike so much. I pity him, but I can see how he turned out the way he did. Anyway, back to the question, I would say either Percy or Filch because they’re just so obnoxious. I mean.. yeah it’s great that they stick steadfastly to the rules, but there’s a point where it’s just too much. Showing a bit of kindness and emotion from time to time is nice, not just being a strictly rule-abiding machine.
As a student at Hogwarts, how would you spend your free time?
hanging out w/friends, exploring the castle, hogsmeade, quidditch
Which class do you think you would do well in? Why?
defense against the dark arts, b/c that’s the one that interests me most. And I do best in classes that really interest me. Plus there’s not so many strict + complicated rules to memorize + adhere to like Potions or anything. I think I’d do well in charms too.
Which class do you think you wouldn't do well in and why?
Herbology (BORING), and Divnation (BORING and I have no patience)
If you were on your house Quidditch team what position would you LIKE to play and why?
Chaser or seeker. Probably chaser b/c I don’t have the patience to sit there and search, and it’s more fun when I get to do more stuff like throwing + catching + intercepting
If you were on your house Quidditch team what position do you think you SHOULD play and why?
Chaser, b/c I have good reflexes but I can’t be keeper b/c all those hoops would be a bit much
Which of the Harry Potter books was your favorite and why?
GOF because all the tasks were awesome. OoTP I liked for the harmony moments but Umbridged REALLY annoyed me.
Which Harry Potter book was your least favorite and why?
HBP because it destroyed the characters of Dumbledore AND Hermione
Which Harry Potter movie was your favorite and why?
GOF because they really did a great job on all the tasks and it was really well done. The only flaw I could find w/it is that the person they cast as Dumbledore really doesn’t fit the part
Which Harry Potter movie was your least favorite and why?
Sorcerer’s stone. Disneyfied HP is scary and unrealistic
If you could change ONE thing in the series, what would it be and why?
Sirius dying =/. I can see how Dumbledore was necessary for Harry to progress and I was more disturbed by Dumbledore’s character changes than his death, but Sirius’s death made me cry.

my friend, because she has to deal with so much yet manages because she’s such a strong person. Her mom insults and yells at her on a daily basis and has beaten her in the past and always praises her younger sister over her and is just really horrible. Yet you can hardly tell at school b/c she’s always smiling. I’m not saying it’s healthy, but the fact that she hasn’t cut or killed herself by now is amazing. And yes, if you’re curious, she’s a bit better now - she has lots of friends that care about her and help her =]
If you could own any magical creature, what would it be?
a snowy owl like Hedwig. Intelligent, brave, loyal, and useful.
What is the worst quality you believe that a person, any person, can possess?
Apathy - no that’s not the right term, I can’t think of the correct term, but it’s when a person has utter disregard for the consequences of their actions and how it may affect others.
Which house do you feel you belong in and why?
Gryffinclaw. I teeter along the edge between Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. I get lazy from time to time so Hufflepuff’s out. Ravenclaw b/c of intelligence. Gryffindor b/c in addition to intelligence I support my friends a lot, and I’m not afraid of taking risks, though I don’t go out actively thrill-seeking all the time, but I will if I have to.
What house do you think you WOULDN'T belong in and why?
Slytherin - I don’t have the malice to hate others (takes too much effort anyway), and I’ve no deep interest in the dark arts, and I’m not conniving and ambitious
Why do you want to be part of this community? Will you remain active in the sub-communities and voting after you've been stamped in a house?
Because it looks really fun and yay it's accepting too (supposedly) =]. And yes, of course I will remain active, as much as I can, though I think my participation would be stinted during April/May (AP tests >>).
