Some curses are more difficult to get over than others. "Just a curse" doesn't justify how some feel about what happened.

Oh, is that how you truly feel about these curses?

Some. The ones we've recently experienced, while annoying and humiliating as they were, could be considered tame.

It seems these deities never run out of ways to senselessly amuse themselves. There have been other curses that have been far more debilitating.

I wonder... Do the deities truly do such things plainly out of amusement? Regardless, it is sad that people have to undergo through such pain because of these curses, especially when they do things without their full consciousness.

As much as they try to put themselves above men, even deities are subject to whims, no matter how irrational.

That much I have learned during my stay in the City. I do not deny that they might enjoy watching us struggle through curses, but at the same time I cannot help but wonder if there is something more to it. That is not to say that I enjoy the curses, or that the deities are not entirely at fault. But it makes you wonder sometimes, doesn't it? Whether we are seeing only one side of the whole story?
