My music is in three places - on the HDD of my iPod, on a USB external drive and on the HDD of my workstation.
My writing is also backed up in those places, but I ftp copies to the server at wychwood end on a very regular basis. (When I was writing Saying Goodbye to Amy I was doing an off-site ftp backup every 2 hours)
I felt unutterably smug when we got burgled last October, my laptop went, and they didn't take the network drive with the scheduled zipped backups. Would have been a lot less smug if they had swiped the network drive. I need to look into offsite backups.
There must be external servers somewhere where they allow you to backup for a small fee? Here we have an automatic backup made to servers around 20 miles away.
