In this chapter, I meet a bunch of famous people that aren't much for conversation.
This guy just can't stop.
Let his people go, you damn dirty apes!
Anyone care to tell me why this isn't Casablanca-Bogart?
Tarantino and Uma on the set of Kill Bill. There are no words.
This is my friend Dominique, with whom I stayed during my all-too-brief California visit. Big Raquel Welch fan. It was really nice to not have to pay for a hotel while I was out west.
OH GOD THIS ROOM. SO WORTH IT. Tony Stark, Thor, Wolverine, Master Chief, John McClane...
Buffy (who I got untold harassment over never having watched).
Meryl's one classy lady.
Later on that night, we went to the Landmark Theater and I fulfilled yet another life's goal: saw a movie that was only playing in New York City and Los Angeles. Oh, and what a movie it was! Martha Marcy May Marlene by name, starring the Olsen twins' younger sister and the guy from Winter's Bone, wherein the Olsen girl must reassimilate into society after escaping from a cult in the Catskills led by aforementioned guy. The concession stand had Pocky, which I was unnaturally impressed by, but there was something even better there.
THE ACTUAL SUITS FROM J. EDGAR WORN BY LEONARDO DICAPRIO AND ARMIE HAMMER. I nearly died.
Movie idolatry continues in the next post.
