I watched 2 shows last night. Supernatural and Project Runway. I have Grey's on the DVR. Did I like either of them? Did I hate either of them? You know what? I haven't got the energy to rant today. So I present the pros and cons of two kind of boring shows. Oops - that slipped out. Seriously there was good. Dean kicked his heels in the

Yea, that about sums it up for me. I think there's some strong meta moments that are gonna mean a lot for both boys in here in the remainder of the season. In which case I might like it more in retrospect. And I did enjoy the resonant Sam moments we had. But yea, taking your strongest actor out of the match for the whole episode really doesn't help make boring filler less...um, boring. (AND HELL TO THE YES on the anvilious Dean horndog frat joke routine. I AM SO TIRED OF THIS, OMG. STOP IT, KRIPKE.)

I do think you're right about the fact that the boys have to stop the apocalypse together. I mean, that's what I'm expecting after all. And I'm all for giving Jensen a bit of a break as he works harder than almost any actor I know. But man oh man was this boring. There's filler and then there's filler that serves absolutely no point.
I hated Yellow Fever but at least it tied into the mytharc of season 4. This? Other than to showcase Jim Beaver, it didn't seem to do much at all. I can't even find the energy to hate this. I'm indifferent to it. Sigh. And more frolicing fun to come it looks like. As awesome as next week's episode looks, I signed up for an apocalypse this season and I'm sorry, 1 or 2 funny episodes is all you get Kripke. Time to bring on the angst.

Note to Kripke/Gamble: My head is hurting a little. Let's see that's 3 weeks of Sam is the hero and all of Season 4 was just a momentary blip in Sam's wonderfulness anvils you've been throwing at me. I get it. Sam is magnificent and wonderful and he and he alone will save the world. And Dean? He's just the douchebag that went to hell and can't win a poker game and is only good for fart, masturbation and geezer jokes. I get it, okay? Stop throwing anvils at me.
I didn't see that at all. Dean's a hero already, he's THE hero; he doesn't need extra affirmation. Sam, on the other hand, needs continued redemption after last year.

I guess I agree that Sam does need redemption. Maybe I just wish it were less anvil over the head. I am frustrated that I can't find my Samlove lately. It's probably all Zachariah's fault.
Hee - I wanted to like the manwitch. And I usually like Irish accents. I do like the phrase manwitch though.
I'm glad you posted an opposing opinion. Hopefully next week will cheer me up. I hate being so grumpy about my favorite show.

<333 I understand how it feels. I've felt grumpy about episodes that everyone else was squeeing over. It happens!
