Title: Initium
Challenge: Travel
Characters: Nagi (Crawford, peripherally)
Harper's Notes: Takes place immediately following the drama CD Holy Children.
This is the first time Nagi has been in an airplane. He stares out of the tiny window, squinting at patches of light like stars in the darkness, wondering what it might have looked like to see this in daylight. It’s one way not to think about what he’s leaving behind.
He casts a surreptitious glance at the dark-haired man beside him, but Crawford doesn’t seem to be paying him much attention. Nagi sits back in his seat, closing his eyes. Patience, he tells himself. What they’re travelling towards now is the future, ice cold and sharp as jagged stones.

It’s just another place.
Yohji takes one last drag before dropping his cigarette to the ground and grinding out the still-red ember.
It’s colder, sure, and the language isn’t the same… But his wire is still choking out lives, so he can’t see much of a difference.
At least the beer’s not bad.
He isn’t sure where Ken’s gotten to, but it doesn’t really matter. When they take out Essett’s school, Siberian will be ready. That’s all this is, after all - a mission. Finish the job, then go home. Who cares where?
After a while, it all looks the same.
