It's interesting, I think I have decent situational awareness. I'm an observant person by nature, so even if I'm in my head little things will catch my eye. However, unless it is is ultra obvious, I have no sense of when people are paying attention to me b/c I stand out. Other people will tell me later. For example, in Egypt, apparently the guys were cat calling me when we walked down the street, even with Stevan, even with other Egyptian men. I had no idea.
