Some words fascinate me and give me great joy. For example, words like venereal and cereal. These derive, respectively, from the names of the goddesses of love and of the grain (Venus and Ceres). An interesting challenge. Here's all the ones I can think of:

saturnine, apollonian, dionysian, narcissistic, herculean, sisyphean, titanic, vestal, promethean, erotic, hermetic, boreal.

Other english words or expressions that come from greek/roman gods, heros or other elements of mythology:

helium, hypnotism, insomnia, iris (both the flower and the eye part), calypso, nike, lethal, boreal forest, aurora borealis, all the muse words (amusing, bemused, musical...), achilles tendon and odyssey.

Like you say, I'm sure there are dozens more.
