Title: Second Chance at Happiness
Fandoms: Smallville and Harry Potter
Pairings: Chloe/Bill
Rating: PG-13ish
Warnings/Spoilers: AU - Bill is a full werewolf like Remus, plus HP books took place in 2000s (so basically everything was just moved foreword in time but everything pretty much happened the same way). Chloe never said yes to Jimmy in S8’s premier. Also I’m probably changing a few HP!werewolves characteristics.
Summary: Chloe and Bill find each other, and well.... are they mates?
Notes: Written for
sv100 prompt wolf,
crossovers50 prompt restaurant and for
25crossovers prompt lady. Its supposed to be this short - 100 words per part except for Part 7, which went 50 words over [so it doesn't count].

Part 1
After getting injured by Greyback, Bill Weasley was no longer just a wizard… but a werewolf.
Everything in his life went downhill since then.
His marriage was called off; Fleur just couldn’t risk marrying him. It was then that he realized his mother had been right about her… Fleur didn’t really love him. With the help of Remus Lupin, he was able to handle becoming a werewolf every month.
The war was happening full force; the Order verses Voldemort and his supporters. It consumed his life until finally Harry managed to kill Voldemort.
That was when he met Chloe Sullivan.
Part 2
After her kidnapping and her refusal of marriage to Jimmy, Chloe Sullivan needed a break from Smallville. She needed to get away from everything that was happening.
She had no idea what possessed her to go to Europe to get away from everything, but she did. What she hoped to find there, she had no idea. Peace and normalcy, probably.
What she found there, was anything but… technically. What was with her luck that she never got normal and only weird?
Being attacked by a werewolf was not something she had been expecting.
One good thing about it: Bill Weasley.
Part 3
Thanks to her curiosity (she should really know by now that it only causes her trouble), Chloe had been out near a forest investigating several murders she had read about in the local newspaper that had been surrounding the forest that always happened around the full moon. She should have known something would happen to her, but did she listen to that side of her brain?
Of course not!
She knew the possibility of it being a werewolf was slim, and it was just a murderer trying to play tricks on the local community, but that didn’t stop her either.
Part 4
She doesn’t remember much of the attack - it happened too quickly. One moment she heard a howl, the next it rushed her. Before the animal had the chance to kill or eat her, it suddenly flown off her. At that point she passed out.
She woke up much later in a place that looked like a hospital bed, but it was so much different then what she was used to back in Smallville and Metropolis.
A nurse came in and explained where she was, and to their shock, she hadn’t been surprised to find out she was a werewolf now.
Part 5
“Lady, after the past eight years, this is practically nothing.” Chloe had stated to the flabbergasted nurse. “Although I am surprised you guys actually believe in werewolves. Most people would just think it was a plain animal attacking.”
“We are not what you would call normal humans, Ms. Sullivan.”
Chloe grinned, “Then what would you call yourselves then?”
“We are wizards.”
That was the moment she learned all about the Magical world, and just like it had since she had moved to Smallville, her knowledge of the weird and unexplained grew. Myths weren’t just myths any longer, but her reality.
Part 6
Thanks to being a werewolf, she was revealed to the magical world in order for them to protect her from hurting and killing people like the werewolf that attacked her. A few days before she was to go back to her life, she bumped into a man, making her stumble. However, he caught her before she could fall.
Thanks to her heightened abilities she could instantly tell what he was.
He was a werewolf… like her.
Staring up at him she took in his handsome features, deep caramel eyes and long red hair with a few scars on his face.
Part 7
Chloe felt an instant connection with him, even before learning his name. He smelled so good - completely male, wolf, and spice, that she couldn’t control herself from leaning in closer to him and sniffing his scent more. After realizing what she was doing, she pulled back, blushing. “I’m sorry.”
Bill had initially stiffened when he realized what the woman he had bumped into was, but as he took a deep breath allowing her scent of female, wolf, and strawberries to reach him, he instantly relaxed. Taking in her appearance he saw the scars trailing down her neck to her shoulder. Despite that, she was beautiful with her short blonde hair and green eyes.
Staring into his gaze at that moment, Chloe should have realized she was in trouble. Especially since she could barely control herself from leaning back in his embrace and pulling him down so she could kiss him.
Part 8
Over the next week, Chloe and Bill met up everyday to have lunch together at St Mungo’s; neither was able to resist spending the time together. And over that time, Bill introduced Chloe to his world and she introduced him to hers.
When she was finally released, they continued meeting, with him inviting her to stay with him. She agreed if only to learn more about becoming a werewolf… although if she was truthful to herself, it was because she was attracted to him. During her first month there before her first full moon, she met Remus Lupin - another werewolf.
Part 9
Before she had met Remus, Chloe had believed the reason why she found Bill so attractive was because of their wolf counterparts. Not that Remus wasn’t handsome, he was very attractive despite his scars, but when he looked at her, her skin didn’t boil like it did when Bill looked at her nor when Remus touched her did she feel like her skin was burning.
It was driving her crazy being in such close quarters with Bill and being unable to do anything about it. This craziness had to be because of her wolf... she’s never felt like this before.
Part 10
“Please tell I’m not insane.” Remus cleared his throat; a hint of blush graced his features.
“I don’t think you’re insane, but I’m not exactly sure why you two feel this way. Obviously you two are attracted to each other, but I’ve never heard of werewolves becoming this, uh, stimulated when meeting another werewolf unless the female was in heat. However that isn’t the case, because if it was then, well… it wouldn’t really matter which male it was because they would all be attracted, nor would it matter to you.”
“And yet we’re not attracted to each other.”
“Yes.”
Part 11
“I’ve been doing a bit of research in a few werewolf groups, hoping to answer you’re questions, Chloe.” Remus stated and Chloe stared at him with hope.
“What did you find?”
“You two are mates.”
Chloe stared at him for several long minutes in silence. A blush lit his cheeks, and while she knew he wasn’t joking, she couldn’t help thinking he was. He had to be.
“Wait… What?”
“It’s possible, but very rare in the werewolf community. Since there aren’t a lot of us left in the world and we’re mostly spread out that finding your mate is unlikely.”
Part 12
In order to keep any possible reactions Bill might have when she tells him in check, she decides to take him to a ‘muggle’ restaurant and explain things there. In truth, she was afraid of what he might say and was afraid that he might actually break any ties with her. She knew he wouldn’t like the idea that they had no choice in the matter - it wasn’t in him to like it… to have no control over how he felt or how the wolf felt.
To her, it wasn’t fair… even if Bill was handsome and had amazing qualities.
Part 13
“I thought there was a reason you took me here… since you loved going to the magical ones.” He stated simply. She stared at him in confusion, and while yes it was true she loved the restaurants he had taken her to, she hadn’t expected this sort of reaction out of him.
“Bill?”
“I kind of thought of it,” he motioned between them, “the sudden spark and how my wolf is never settled when its with you. Remus just never mentioned to me about having mates though so I just assumed I was over thinking.”
“You’re not angry?”
“No Chloe.”
Part 14
Molly Weasley stared at the blonde woman standing in front of her. While yes it was weird to believe that Bill had found another woman - who was a werewolf as well - that loved him despite his scars. The woman was beautiful and was neither flashy nor plain, she didn’t wear a lot of make up and she had the perfect manners.
The first moment she saw her, Molly knew, knew with all her motherly instincts that Chloe Sullivan was the perfect woman for her eldest.
“Thank you, my dear.” Molly whispered as she pulled the woman in for a hug.
Part 15
Her first full moon was hard, the pain was horrible, but she was able to make it. Knowing and feeling that Bill was right by her side gave her strength.
The morning after the full moon she found herself wrapped up in his embrace. Their legs were intertwined and their arms were wrapped around in each other, and her head resting in between his neck and shoulder blade with his face resting against her forehead. The chilly air didn’t affect with her wrapped around him. And it was pure bliss.
And she knew he was her second chance at happiness.
THE END.
