“Why are you so nervous?” Jasper asked finally. They stood in lighted area of the forest, and could the hear the ocean’s waves crash a mile away - and it was rather calming so that didn’t explain why she would feel so nervous. They’ve been alone together for years now, as friends, despite her earlier hatred of bloodsuckers.
Leah cleared her throat. She hated when he read her emotions… but then she also loved it. A man that understands your feelings? Who wouldn’t want that?
“We need to go on a date, together, in the near future.”
Jasper grinned, “Love too.”

The beach was beautiful… and they had it all to themselves, which was rather nice at the same time creepy.
Not so much as creepy, but kind of imitating, Leah thought softly as they walked at human’s pace. Why did I suggest this again? Stupid… your not ready for this!
Jasper studied her emotions, it was natural for him to do so, but he was also doing it to see if their first date was going well or not. He winced slightly at her emotions. He knew this would be a mistake - that she would think it as a mistake.

He had wanted this to work out so desperately, he almost believed that it would, but who was he kidding? She didn’t like him like he did her. He should have known there would become nothing more then friendship in his relationship with her.
“I’m sorry,” He apologized quickly, catching her off guard. She paused on the shore staring at him in confusion.
“Why?” It was then that the memory of him being able to feel other people’s emotions popped inside of her mind. “Damn it, don’t listen to my emotions.”
“Clearly you’re upset though, and you regret this.”
“No!”

The shout surprised both of them, but more Jasper then Leah. He could feel her confidence in that answer and was feeling a little shocked.
“I don’t regret this, Jasper. I really don’t. You know I don’t care if you’re a bloodsucker anymore. Hell. I’m just worried I’m doing this all wrong!” Leah stated, gesturing towards them and the beach. “I’ve never dated anyone besides Sam, Jasper. I’m not sure what to do or say. I’m new at this.”
Jasper stared at her, a little shocked himself, as he took in her rushed words. A smile appeared on his face.

“You’re not alone, Leah. I’m new to this whole thing too… the only one I really ever dated was, well, Alice.” Jasper admitted, softly, moving closer to stand in front of her. His smile widened as he reached to touch her cheek. It felt like touching fire, but somehow he didn’t care - he wanted her. “I want you, Leah. Only you.”
Leah grinned and Jasper could see small nearly invisible teardrops form in her eyes, which made her eyes sparkle as if they were his skin in the sun. She was beautiful, with the sea breeze blowing through her hair.

“I want you too, Jasper… only you.” Leah stated, stepping even closer to him, into ice cold touch, but that didn’t matter anymore. She didn’t care, the only thing she cared about was that he liked her back. That he wants her… and only her. She could feel her grin grow and vaguely thought that her cheeks would hurt from smiling so much.
Leah wrapped her arms around his neck as he laid his arms around her waist. Leah pulled his lips down and kissed him
She couldn’t hear or feel anything else, not even the waves crashing behind them.
THE END.
