Do you have a "Home Town"?

A law student, doing a "scavenger hunt" research assignment, meant to familiarize her with the library, just asked for my name and my home town. Its one of the questions on the assignment, and meant to ensure that the student has spoken with a reference librarian.

I had to tell her, "I don't think I have a home town any more".

YES. I don't even feel at home in my house. It's just another place I live in.

My grandparents house (not the town, just the house) was a lot like home but they died and the house his going to be sold if my aunts and uncles ever stop behaving like snotty children. nothing I can do about any of it.

The place I lived for most of my early life, Irvine, NEVER felt like home. Quite the opposite. I always felt like an alien who'd landed. I was technically born in LA, so I guess that would really be more home than anything else, and it's always felt more that way. I'd had high hopes for the character of Fullerton as somewhere to proudly live as well, until all the drama with the cops blew up =(

Very true for me as well. Home is where my spouse & child are... oh and my shoes. LOL

But I could up and move to another location at any time and I would be fine with it.
