For the part about dating someone from another sexual orientation, I've seen all that, and more, levelled at bisexuals; mostly from the rest of the LGBT community. Was a rather rude awakening the first time I saw it.

And on writing for another sexual orientation, exactly. You can really apply that to any sociological grouping that involves discrimination from one to the other; race, sexuality, gender, religion... so damn difficult to write outside your own perspective and get it right.

By the way, HFIL? Kudos on obscure DBZ reference. :D
