So I'm working. Yeay me. Mmm money. Why am I not any better. Wasn't this money thing a big stresser? Wasn't this what I was saying to Robyn- "I want a job! I want to work!". Bullshit. No one WANTS to work. They wanna play and watch "Dead Like Me" and make Russian garb ( Read more... )

i understand what you are saying about not valuing yourself - it seems i have been doing that for a while even though i thought i wasn't. i am happy that you found employment - i know the money thing was a stressor and i am happy that perhaps you get to exchange that stress for work stress (smile). i also hear what you are saying about disappointment and agree. i wish you all the best and am sending out good vibes to both of you.

You're not letting yourself be happy.

Being happy doesn't have one definitive answer when it comes to people. It's a lot of different things, and it's different things for everyone.

Figure out the things that make you happy, and the reasons why they do. Then figure out what makes you unhappy, and the reasons why they do.

Here's the biggie:

Take away the unhappy things, or at least re-work things you don't like to make them tolerable. Keep the happy stuff, of course.

Let Robyn help you. And, while we're at it, he can try it out too.

Easier said than done. Believe me, been there, done that. STILL do it, since unhappy things must be dealt with, and new happy things can be found.

And to those of you who want to reply to this with "you're a good person, we love you, don't think badly of yourself, etc", please don't.

You have to love yourself before you truly and totally love other people. Work on it.
