It's been raining in Paris for the last week. Paris in the rain is not a romantic thing, dispel your allusions! Due to my usual inability to pack sensibly/have sensible clothes, ALL my shoes let in water. I think I'm starting to develop trench foot. oooh...my payday is next Wed, so am going to see if, within the month's puny budget I have left after Japan plans/overdraft repayment, I might be able to come and see you for a weekend...if that's ok with you, of course?
I'm so excited (though also quite dubious...it might be a while yet, moneywise...)!

YES! Do do do do do come. Try and find a cheap ticket - I don't mind if you arrive at 5 in the morning, although you might...Feb 20thish weekend is good, and all of March is free as a free thing. when are you going to Japan?

ALSO: I now have shoes. Or rather, my feet have now turned French. I think somewhere in my mind I've decided that if I look French, I'll be able to speak French, thus I now have the most uncomfortable, beautiful, french rain shoes ever. They did not cost 5 euros however.

Well, when in Rome... (close enough). What colour are the suede ones? Both sound fablus. I think I'm in Tenerife on the 20th (this year is pretty much one long, but expensive holiday...) but March could be good, although sounds v. far away atm. I'll look into tickets etc ad keep you posted...
