Still having a problem with the trusty old lap top! It occasionally won't find an operating system - help! Then I put on some new anti-virus stuff and it lets me play to my heart's content on the internet but freezes my e.mail, on most occasions! I really must get all my stuff backed up onto my flash drives just in case it dies completely ( Read more... )

OK, wait a minute! naked knife fight? Sorry but this gets my attention. LOL It hasn't come here yet but I do plan to see it. Viggo always makes interesting films. He and Elijah seem to pick the most unusual films to make. I like that about them.

Hope your sugar level evens out. That can be the hardest thing to conrol. My son is diabetic and sometimes he has no clue why his level it off or what caused it. It doesn't give you much way to correct things if you can't spot the trouble. Feel better.

I haven't seen it yet either, but I've heard there's a scene in a bath-house or sauna where he's attacked and has to fight the attacker off with a knife. Filmed the entire scene completely naked, apparently.

Well, he does start the scene in nothing but a towel. Good view that. The fight itself is very graphic and bloody. The sort of film with no very clear answers and leaves you thinking.

I think that I am fighting off some sort of infection and generally feeling fed up so I must do something to combat that.

Sometimes the best 'vacations' are the ones where we don't go anywhere and don't do anything.

I'm curious to see Eastern Promises, but I'm with you on the scruffy Ranger bit. Although naked Viggo must be worth seeing, no?

Very much worth seeing! But I have to admit it reminded me rather forcibly of Serinde and her incident with the amputation knife! Strange how our mind play 'cross-over genre'.

I'm sorry about your computer. I'd love to see Eastern Promises but will have to wait for the DVD.
Hope you soon feel better.

I felt a little strange watching certain parts of the film as the only unaccompanied female in the cinema. I might have been better waiting for the DVD.

Sometimes DVDs are better, you can skip any bits of a film that make you uncomfortable.I have sat through films and wanted to leave, but could not as I relied on the person I was with to take me home.
