I do have a flying type, but *angry beedrill buzz* one Noctowl isn't going to cut it.

I always preferred using fire, rather than any of its other weaknesses myself.

You could always try outrunning them, though.

Not happening in this dark forest.

*a curt reply and -* A fire huh? I'll have to make one.

Mmm, right, right. It could be too dangerous that way, after all. This forest is so depraved of sufficient light.

It'd help. Knowing the type advantages and disadvantages is pretty essential.

*grumble grumble, taking out a box of matches* I would normally agree, but it's hard to when you're being chased by an army of Beedrills.

[ ... guess who has been in this exact situation, and is speaking in a serious tone that probably doesn't quite gel with the typical perky personality. ]

What else do you have, Pokémon-wise?

*thinks that is bit odd - until a Beedrill comes too near for comfort.*

A Scyther, Noctowl, Haunter, and Poliwhirl.

... Okay, good. [ She is in SUPPORT MODE. And very happy she actually pays attention to Gym battles to know movesets for most of these. ]

Noctowl, Haunter, and Poliwhirl should know Hypnosis. If you can get them to use it on as many as they can, that should slow 'em down a little.

[WHOA. It's deja vu all over again! Last time, Heather had tried home-made toxic insecticide. It hadn't worked so well. But now she knew better! So her advice is--]

Kill it with fire!

[Giant Beedrill swarms must happen at least once to every new generation of Pokemon Trainers. In Heather and Zack Fair's case, the Great Bee Caper shall not soon be forgotten.]

You don't have any fire Pokemon??

[It didn't surprise her too much, not everybody had 'em after all, but it was rather dismaying. Bees didn't usually tend to just hang around and wait for you to rub two sticks together until something happened.]

Not everyone is privileged with a fire Pokemon.

*grumbles before pulling out a match from his pant's pocket. ...Well, it'll be faster than rubbing two stick together?*
