My Lump

About ten days a go I noticed a lump on my chest near my right areola. I went to the doctor for that and for a new prescription. She gave me an antibiotic because I'm a guy she thought that it might just be an ingrown hair. She said that sometimes it happens that the hair grows in below the skin. This wasn't like you could see any thing on the skin

I hope it's nothing serious. It might just be a cyst or a harmless fatty tumor.

That's what I'm really hoping. It's just the not knowing that makes me so anxious.

I hope it's not serious. I get ingrown hairs sometimes, especially because I wax and shave in places, but I have never heard of them lasting ten days. Is it only in that one place, or is it spreading around the area? Is the coloring unusual or is it just regular skin color? It could just be a small cyst that isn't cancer. It could be a keloid forming under a shaving cut, or it could just be a really stubborn ingrown hair, though I think the hair would have made puss around the area if that's what it was.

If you don't update when you find out, I am going to bug you, because I worry.

It's not one of those regular shaving ingrown hairs. The idea was that the hair never broke the surface and grew in below the skin. If it was the antibiotic that I took for a week should have taken care of it.
The skin surface is absolutely normal there is just the lump below the skin.

I'm heading off to see my doc in a few minutes. I don't expect an results today but I'll be sure to keep you informed!
