Hah, I empathize with Jack completely... his bloody awful day reminded me very much of my own. If I'd had such an unpleasant surprise given to me as Jack did, I daresay that person would've been worse off than Tom was. I probably would've kept 'im in the brig the whole voyage. :-p

You're going to think me the world's largest laziest ninnybit in the world. I've just spent the day either laying abed or at this 'puter reading away from the beginning of the Harry and pirate series til this part (when I freely admit I'm on my way to a swim and sleep finally). I've used up half a roll of paper towels blowing my nose and drying my eyes becos I'm such a mush melon and your stories are sooooo very dear and touching and I love little Tom like I love my one nephew, which is to say, with all my heart and part of my gizzard. (do they say that in your part of the world==it means bunches and bunches) Can't believe I found and read these stories before I ever wrote a word of comments or a word of scribblybits. Was a real blessing finding out about Black Pearl Sails....really liked the site long before anything ( ... )

You know, I truly adore indulging myself and I am excellent at playing....this retiring was the most correct path to pursue.

Thank you for the comments and for letting me know you're still enjoying my Harry and Jack stories -- and it's shocking to think that this one is almost a decade old. Holy cats, how time flies. So much fun. I do miss writing, and hope my Muse will wake up one of these days. Probably should reread these myself and see if Harry and Jack would hold up to further adventures. ;-)
